THE ENNEAGRAM

The enneagram
differentiates body types, based on ruling gland and biosystem. The
enneagram shown in this website is an enhanced version of the enneagram which
was introduced by G. I. Gurdjieff to describe body types.
The original
Gurdjieff Enneagram is about essence. This advanced esoteric enneagram (shown
in above diagram) is a spiral because contemplative is above digestive, and
transpersonal is above growth.
There
are nine body types on the spiral enneagram.
These are
the body types, characteristics generalized, (ruled by gland):
DIGESTIVE
- round headed slow thinkers on detail (pancreas)
GROWTH
- dark haired positive patient vacuous (parathyroid)
RESPIRATORY
- dark quick talking clean sleek runner(thryoid)
SKELETAL
- tall dominating w/ oversight (ant.pituitary)
MUSCULAR
- redhaired powerful blunt (adrenals)
CIRCULATORY
- lucky generous jolly (post. pituitary)
CONTEMPLATIVE
- nice focused grey reserved (pineal)
TRANSPERSONAL
- wants what is best for everyone (gonads)
CREATIONAL
- fine naive inventive visionary (thymus)
